The BMW tech session is an annual event, taking place each spring at Harold Ross' Studio in Westchester PA. Harold rides several bikes. He has an oil-head sport-tourer, a beautiful /5 with Wixom Bags, and even a classic Triumph Bonneville. Which steed statisfies most his need for speed? He rides very aggressively.A bunch of friends who ride BMWs get together each spring for a tech session of working on the bikes. Far more important than actually tuning up or fixing the bikes, is the party that takes place in the evening and well into next day. It requires an awful lot of preparation. A lot of guys, not just motorcycle dudes, join in. Here are some photos of the tech session prior to the party.

Ducdude busy working on his tiny red bomb.As you can see, I was rather obsessed with Eric (aka "Ducdude) 's Ducati. It is an impressive looking machine, with more power than most riders' abilities. Unfortunately I drove to the session. My BMW is in need of a bottom end rebuild, so I didn't trust it the 300 or so miles to Harold's. I was in the process of getting my new Triumph Tiger, which was coming from a dealer in Wyoming. You'll be seeing me on that bike a lot.
Perhaps the star of the show was Nicole's little dog Mikey. He was a lot of fun, and full of beans. A cute little mix of Poodle and Maltese, something like that.
