This is one of the shows for British Iron.  When I arrived, I was told that I might as well register my bike for a couple dollars extra.  That way, you get a parking spot right on the grounds, and of course a chance to even win a trophy (though I didn't think my unmodified Tiger would have much a chance).  My bike was naturally parked with all the other Hinckley Triumphs.

No doubt about it, there were a lot of bikes.  There were 11 classes for British (5 for Triumph alone).  Then there was a classes for Italian, German & European and finally American.  So, non-British bikes were certainly welcome to this event.  So, what are we waiting for?  Let's see the bikes!

BSA Police Special
(note fancy sidecar)
This '50 Vincent Rapide won first prize in the Daily Rider Category.  Turns out a couple had ridden it all the way from Missouri - and what's more, they have had for many years.

Now that's an award I'm impressed with - no trailered in bike here!

A nice pair of Bonnevilles Sometimes at these shows you get the truly bizzare!
Here is a '79 Triumph Chopper

And now the Hinckley Triumphs....

The 2001 Bonneville swept the Hinckley class, taking all 3 prizes.  Obviously the judges were partial the classic look.

Hey Jack - nice TT600! A close-up of the Hinckley Line-up As photographed by Torque (RAT members magazine)
I guess this may the most photographic exposure my bike may get
(I mean besides my own website - I love taking pics of my bike!)

Some of the non-British Bikes:

A nice pair of BMW R90S -
always a favorite of mine.
A old war-time Guzzi Notice the unusual curved plate
on this '14 bike.

The Battle of the Brits also features a car section - which is probably at least twice as big as the bike section.  Please proceed forward to see that.
